Meistersinger N°01 40mm

The original MeisterSinger – but a different model nevertheless. With its 40-millimeter case diameter it is three millimeters smaller than the classic model in our collection. However, developing this new version was not as easy as you might think. It is not enough to transfer all the characteristics of a successful model to a new, smaller design, as character cannot be simply scaled down. Each element needs to be re-balanced to suit the reduced space.

That’s why we are all the more pleased that the new, slim version has the same design qualities as the original – from the functional, easily legible typography under the domed sapphire glass to the engraved, sixfold screwed steel back. Moreover, the N° 01 - 40 mm version is powered by the same Swiss-made, hand-wound movement as the larger model, the Sellita SW 210.

Since 2001, MeisterSinger in Münster, Westphalia has been producing a range of exceptional mechanical wristwatches: Just like the first mechanical clocks of the late Middle Ages, they have only one hand and therefore literally point to an exact moment in time. The company founder Manfred Brassler creates his classical timepieces with this unique characteristic in the technical and cultural tradition of early watchmaking.
